Looking at a map, did they ever consider a big arse canal at any time in the past 40 years?

I wonder if these will show up like the Biden one?
Those were everywhere I'm only seeing these on Facebook.

Unless something big happens I'm done for the night. Some words to think about from one of our greats (just don't ask Reddit about that)...

In Canada, senior Conservatives say the government has failed to act against Iranian regime officials despite identifying individuals linked to Tehran.
Deputy Conservative leader Melissa Lantsman, immigration shadow minister Michelle Rempel and Pierre Paul-Hus, Conservative Québec lieutenant, called upon the Liberal government, in a statement released in Ottawa, to table a plan within one week to take immediate action to stop Iranian regime activities in Canada.
"The Liberals have known for years that there are hundreds of Iranian regime officials in Canada, 239 of whom have had their visas" canceled, the lawmakers said.

Reagan would have been laughed out of today’s Maga party for being too “moderate” and for being a “RINO”.. crazy that so many Maga morons put Ronnie on a pedestal today, when we all know they would have despised him .

My new Foreign Affairs article explains why Israel's current strategy to defeat Hamas is doomed to failure and presents a viable alternative:

The big question: Why would Iran abandon nuclear weapons if Israel can attack the country and its leaders for any reason Israel wants? Unless the US answers this question, any future negotiations with Iran are unlikely to produce meaningful results.

Big question: why would Iran think US and Israel would stick to any peace deal, after two US , Israeli surprise attacks?

The deal that would matter: Iran freezes enrichment and accepts NPT inspections and Israel joins NPT and freezes its nuclear weapons and follows tge treaty. Israel is not now a member of NPT, but wants Iran to accept it??

Israeli strikes on Iran are falling into that I call the "smart bomb trap" - overconfidence in precision air strikes that ignores powerful nationalist reactions of defiance leading to a costly quigmire. The US fell into the trap vs Iraq in 2003. Iran is more dangerous.

Israeli strikes predictably hitting Tehran residential areas. But as Iran-Iraq “war of the cities” and many Western bombing campaigns show, punishing civilians won’t cause Iran to back down. Iran nuclear weapons getting closer by the day:

On CBS Evening News, I discuss why it is too late for US air power alone to knock out Iran's nuclear program, and turn Iran into an angry beast with nuclear teeth:

US attack won't surprise Iran. They announced nuclear materials removed. Retaliation now serious risk. US troops should take protection in Qatar and Bahrain

Trump's "Make Iran Great Again" post calling for regime change is dangerously escalating a powder keg. Russian officials already discussing foreign nuclear weapons going to Iran.

It's now evident that the outcomes predicted in my Foreign Affairs article about the strategic consequences of bombing Iran have materialized. The act of bombing has not only bolstered support for the Iranian regime but also proved ineffective in eradicating Iran's enriched uranium reserves.
Under Biden’s Autopen besides the Hamas is winning posts his focus also seemed to start pushing the Dems talking points on domestic terrorism and insurrection threats by their political opponents.
