this thread is an absolute success story. There's a beginning plot, a middle and a happy ending followed with a glowing review.

Still baffles me how people get into accidents on a straight bridge with no intersections.

Like the moron who decided to get in the left lane, then moron driving in the left lane pulling a pit maneuver on driver #1 and not stopping...

Instead of paying tolls for the Causeway, perhaps they need to check IQs instead.

I also enjoy a good thread where there’s a wreck on a highly trafficked road around 7-8am and reading everyone’s posts bitching about their work commute taking forever. This thread does not deliver unfortunately

My observation is it is usually the anxiety ridden idiot weaving trying to take 30 seconds off their commute. I wish I could vaporize them like in Star Wars.

I can maybe excuse a mechanical issue or a flat tire. But if you cause a wreck, you should be thrown in the lake.

Debris in roadway is also acceptable excuse.

I had to drive across the Causeway in the fog on the evening of 1/1. One lane was shut down and it was desolate. Fog was thick. Visibility was limited to a 100 yards on average, with some spots less than 30-40 yards. Traffic was sparse. Speed was limited to 35 mph. But the driver behind me insisted on tailgating me the entire way, with the drivers behind him tailgating him. He/she was so close I couldn’t see the car’s headlights, and occasionally part of the hood and windshield, over the top of my pickup tailgate. I slowed down and sped up trying to send a message. It didn’t matter. I didn’t brake check because it was too dangerous. If I would have had to apply the brakes with any force that person would have been under my truck and a chain reaction would have occurred involving several vehicles in a pile up.

That’s how accidents happen on the Causeway.
