I will add the fact that i got a 22 in 7th grade to this subtle brag thread

Kids born after 2000 are retarded. It's like something happened to the cosmos.

Those who can’t do, teach.

Scored a 36 after rolling in straight from the bar with a hang over.

It's absolutely means that. If you're a shite test taker, how are you going to help me take that test?
Some people get anxiety when taking a test. Doesn't mean they don't know how to study to best prepare for the test. And some people are shite when it comes to studying. They don't know how to prepare.
Come on, ya'll act like this shite doesn't happen. People suck at playing an instrument or a sport, but understand the instrument or sport in such a way that it makes them a great teacher for others.
Standardized tests are nothing but a test of how well you test. The GRE is a prime example of that, and it's used to determine entry into graduate school--with HIGH SCHOOL MATH PROBLEMS!

He is a ridiculously smart dude who does horrible on standardized tests.
I just don't understand this.
And I wasn't being disparaging with that post. You don't have to have a 36 to make money in life.

If you don’t test well you’re not smart. Are we supposed to take your word for it. Testing is the verification process.

Sorry, I'm not going to trust someone telling me how to take a test they clearly don't know how to take.
It's vastly different than knowing the mechanics of playing an instrument or swinging a club, but not being able to do it. You're putting pencil to paper, not throwing a football.

Congrats on peaking early

Exactly. It's the way to measure what you've learned. I don't understand people who say they're smart but can't take the test.

Agree, except not for the ACT.
ACT prep is pretty much all about managing the limited time you have.
But then again, if you’re scoring in the teens you probably have a lot to figure out before you worry about time limits

got a 36 on the ACT... in reading
Posted on 9/5/19 at 8:36 pm to SlowFlowPro
No. I made a 31 as a junior. I’ll tutor him myself. He won’t need it though. He’s 5 and scored a 19 already.

And yet, studies continue to show that GPA is a better indicator of college success than standardized tests.
I wonder why...
Assuming she isn't taking a bunch of crap classes, a 3.7 GPA tells me she isn't exactly stupid. She just isn't a good standardized test taker.

I made the max score on the writing part. That's when I learned how good I was at BSing and signed up for TD.

A 3.7 with a 22 is almost assuredly an inflated GPA.

I'm sorry, but I just don't believe this line at all. I've tested in the 99th percentile at a basically retarded levels of ADHD multiple times, yet I made a 27 and 31 on the act without any medication or extra time. You either know it or you don't.

And she doesn't take timed tests. Because she said the timed testing threw her off.

And how is she a senior with only 1 attempt at the act?
Almost every test I took in HS was timed.
