With I-10 closed and I-20 down to one lane (at points)I'm debating, I will be taking two 10 gallon cans of gas btw.

I have something important I need to get to in DFW Saturday (home closing).

As long as you don't need to drive back home or have an electric car you should be fine.

I-20 from Shreveport to Dallas is smooth sailing. Made the trip yesterday. I-20 is only one lane for a few miles near Minden.

I think you'll be fine. Leave yourself some extra time. Taking gas is probably overkill but better safe then sorry. I haven't heard anything bad about I-20 other then the standard construction they seem to always be doing around Minden.

What's going on in Minden?

They adding better feeder ramps to I-20 in Bossier?

That shite use to be fricking horrible! Talk about having to punch the gas and pray.

Edit: Also fill up gas at Tyler exit. Don't go into town. 271 crosses I-20 and has a big station.

I have a buddy up in Dallas who was thinking about coming down to Houston to help out this weekend.

They are having gas shortages in Dallas at the moment, according to him. So, keep that in mind.

What does I-10 have to do with north Louisiana or Dallas?

I'd probably have taken I-30 through Dallas regardless and then used I-35 to go south. It's not like they're going to use I-95 and then go down to I-10.
