I figured you'd cop out with an answer like this.

Some of you are reacting very defensively to these opinions as if I called your wife trashy or immature. I said it is a red flag, not a deal breaker. In the list of pros and cons for a woman, I think it is pretty safe to assume it would be listed as a con, if listed at all.

There are plenty of exceptions, but on the whole, I can't imagine any of you would argue that the group of women who watch the show are generally as mature than women who do not watch the show.

I might be the only one. I mostly discuss it with myself.

If HC decides to leave you, probably won't be for the mindless bs you decided to kill some time watching after a long day of work, probably more to do with you discussing said show thoroughly, alone, on a sports message board.... God bless her

The only thing I have figured out from this thread is that you're just as likely to defend the Kardashians as possibly enjoy it.

Keep trying to put yourself on a pedestal. It's totally working.

And how is that any different than all the threads on the M/TV board where people discuss weekly TV shows?

Or a thread on the sports board where people are discussing a game?

Or a thread on the political board discussing whatever presidential debate is on?

Why stop there? How is it any different than discussing foreign snuff films?

Oh, wait, there is a difference between these things. Many of you are acting as if it wouldn't raise a flag if a 27 year old man or woman were really into Blues Clues or the Teletubbies. If you give a shite what someone watches and enjoys then you're the one who is immature, right?

Maybe you missed the part where I specifically said I wasn't a big NFL fan?

Here here.

No one caught up in presidential debates has any room to talk about crappy reality shows.

Well that is different. Those are shows that have the target audience of toddlers not even potty trained yet.

Our examples are shows aimed at adult viewers.

For your sake I hope you're not being serious with this line of thought.

Oh lord, it appears you are.

Foreign snuff and shows made for children (where you're obviously implying pedophilia) is definitely the same as watching the Kardashians.

That's a cop out.......how, exactly?

DGAF what you call my wife--I'm calling YOU immature for thinking that this is even remotely an issue.

Which is fricking stupid

Women of all maturity levels watch Kardashian shows. As do men of all maturity levels watch sports. That's why both are massively popular.

Why is this such a difficult concept for you to grasp?

Logic isn't your strong suit, apparently.

Yeah, because those are the examples we have been discussing

I know a 25 year old who watches Bob The Builder. It's weird AF if you ask me.

Fair enough, but you can still find attractive, normalized women who are not into the Kardashians. Most of you are justifying it by saying all women watch it so you better just accept it, and I don't fault you for picking and choosing your battles. Whether a woman watches the show is not a primary concern, but it can still be a red flag. I'm not sure why this is so blasphemous to many of you.
