I am a retired Space Ops officer from the Air Force. Heck yeah I'd do it. Great, interesting job with lots of camaraderie and good times. OTS sucked but not anything you couldn't get through. Ran 30-40 miles a week, lots of pt, classroom stuff was easy. If someone can get in he/she would be a fool not to do it if really interested.

I’ve read your recent posts. Be careful throwing the word dumb around so loosely. You’ve got a definite need to be tested for the retarded. I’m pretty sure you have it. Melting over UF, and your coach hasn’t even stood under the lights yet.

I’d enjoy getting back into the crypto linguistic aspect assisting with transcription and translation between the astronauts and cosmonauts.

Nope. Life is much better out of the military. No issues with the time I did, but not happening again.

The experiences I had in the USAF as a linguist seeing NASA, the final days of MIR and the infant days of the ISS were so different from typical AF or any typical military life that when I had to put a uniform on and attend some military function or training, I would have to refresh myself on many of the ways.

I got to spend a week in Ohio with AIA guys and remember how different their work days were from mine. Meaning we all did similar things for the DOD but they still had to play military airmen all day on top of their work.

I'd become a pilot and they'd call me Space Ghost.

Thats only because your aunt says that you're so much like your dad. Your uncle doesn't want you to end up like he did.

We have no space technology to speak of.

And we'll be extinct before we have anything like
Star Trek or Alien.

Nice fantasy though.

How long before the first Korean tailor, strip club, massage studio, and tattoo parlor show up in space?
