I took a huge (50%) paycut to get out of the rat race and start a business. I went from working all day/all night/most weekends and holidays to 4 days a week, no weekends, no holidays
it has been more than worth it
I am so much happier and I enjoy every day

But thank God I took care of things and was looking forward to early retirement at 58-59. At 53, I went into heart failure and been disabled since. Now 58 and live comfortable.

Answer is frick no. I like having nice stuff. If i want to do something that requires time off i just go. I have complete flexibility. I can work 1 hour or 60, as long as my work is complete, my site is running smooth, my margins are great and we aren't having problems on site nobody goves a shite.
Now if the margins or revenue drops at that plant, it would be my arse. Thats why i bust arse monday thru Thursday so i can have weekends. If i need to work my arse off even through friday i am ok with that though because of the freedom.
