I've had steak tartare and homemade venison tartare; but no way I'm eating a sahimi chicken. Sounds nasty and disease ridden.

Looks like a good way to be introduced to Salmonella Fitzgerald.

Raw chicken grosses me out. I couldn't eat that.

That’s the quickest way to give yourself salmonella poisoning.

I’ve eaten raw chicken. It’s not that big of a deal. Salmonella fears are overblown. Interested to see what the prep is for this is though because texture is a problem.

Actually had this at a Hooters once. Ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. Fried on the outside, sashimi on the inside.

Last time I ever set foot in a Hooters.

Oh and for the Popeyes bodycount: Popeyes Spicy Chicken Sandwich >>>> Hooters Buffalo Chicken Sandwich (cooked or undercooked)

Getting sick to the side, I just don't think raw chicken would taste good

LINK

Because certain Japanese chefs know how to prepare it so that you don't get salmonella or other diseases, similar to chefs that are licensed to prepare Fugu (puffer fish).

quote:

High-end yakitori restaurants, however, take special care to source chicken clean enough to eat raw

quote:

On menus, there are three options: torisashi (fully raw), toriwasa (broiled less than 10 seconds), and chicken tartare.

Like most foods, I'll try it depending on who is making it.
