Scruffy has no idea what is going on in here, but that quote is funny.

Correct, but we've advanced far enough for every religious person alive to dismiss fairies, unicorns, minotaurs and every religion but their own as silly superstition.

you truly do not comprehend faith, and i guarantee you that in your rant against hypocrisy, you ignore your hypocrisy when it comes to faith

Ive never seen an electron but I know they exist. The strawman argument that nonbelievers are just too damn concrete and must actually witness things is nonsense. I believe in tons of things Ive never personally seen because there is evidence for them.

I can comprehend faith because I had it once. I can also comprehend that religious individuals believe that a lack of belief in a deity requires an equal amount of faith. Its nonsense, but I can certainly comprehend it.

Faith is, by definition, a belief not based in evidence. I cannot prove god does not exist, but I can offer ample evidence that the christian god as described in the bible isnt real. Christianity puts god in a box and gives him specific qualities that must be true in order for him to exist. Once a religion does that, it becomes possible to defend or reject their specific idea of god based on whether the claims about him could possibly be true or not.

There are claims made about Yahweh that we know are not true. Therefore, I can reject him knowing I have factual support for my belief. This is not faith, its deductive reasoning.

Doubt that it ever comes to past. However, to answer your question, if it meant feeding and providing for my family, then for the sake of practicality, yes, I'd do it. Could care less about the so call consequences as long as my family is safe and provided for.

Probably because there's no such thing as a devil.

Now, you're getting into a privacy issue, which is another debate in itself.
