Would this encourage more people to wash their hands after using bathroom?

Just better hope your mom doesn't decide to wash your mouth out with soap

Definitely have to keep it for the sink only.

The shower would just be weird.

Gross. That dumb fricker touched the faucet lever with his/her dirty hands and then touched it again after washing his/her hands.

I hate bathrooms that require one to touch the door handle to get out. Touching the handle defeats the purpose of washing.

Most Faucet levers, toilet flusher handles or whatever they are called and door handles are made of stainless steel so bacteria can't grow on them

bruh, those things are typically not stainless, but are chrome plated aluminum or plastic....bacteria can very well grow on them.

Wrong. Pot metal, plastic, brass then maybe stainless. Almost all flush valves are chrome plated brass, including the handles. Even the ones with brushed nickel or brushed stainless finishes.

Some faucets and flush valve handles are made with anti-microbial agents in the finish though.

Tell your microbiology professor he doesn't know what he is talking about. I've been a plumbing manufacturers rep for almost 20 years.
