Nope. Car may as well be totaled in my opinion.

I used to smoke a few every day in one of my vehicles. When I detailed it, I would clean the carpets with my carpet cleaner after i vacuumed it all out. After I would spray Ozium throughout the vehicle and have the defrost on (that circulates it through the vents). Last I would go to dollar general and get laundry detergent beads. Put those in the floor of my truck's back floorboard and a cup in the cup holder. Also cleaning the windshield/Windows with windex/glass cleaner knocks off the film on them.

You'd never know it was ever smoked in though.

Then your buddy patent and sell their secret to the rest of the car dealers in the world. I have never been on a used lot that I couldn't instantly identify the cares that were smoked in, no other dealer in the world seems to know have to get rid of the smell. Just went through the process recently helping a friend find a car for her daughter, we rejected probably a quarter of the cars because of the smell.

No it doesn't. A dealer won't take off money because of a light smoke smell. They sell certified vehicles that still smell of smoke/nastiness. It comes down to them actually detailing it and getting it out. They don't care though, they buy it, take it to clean, a kid clans it and then parks it. Then customer bitches about it and they get a few bucks off.
