Would the OT buy a used vehicle if it had been smoked in.

Years ago? Previous owner smoked in it for a month after they got it and burned a hole in the console. Pissed them off and they quit.
Can't smell anything and wouldn't have know except for the burn hole. No carpet as it is a work truck package. Would anyone be concerned that shite would come back off and on?

I bought one from an Iranian lot on hwy 78 that had been smoked in, and was still bloodstained from where the previous owner bled to death after an accident.

Work truck, no carpet, you can’t smell it buy the damn truck.

I'll pass on it. As said before, it's next to impossible to get rid of that smell without gutting the interior and doing a lot of work.

Also, my wife bought a used kia that didn’t smell smoky at all when we bought, but after a couple weeks and the dealer smell wears off, it reeks of tobacco.
We’re both former smokers so it doesn’t bother us too bad, but otherwise id Be pissed.

we were looking for the wife a new rig years ago. ran up on an LTZ Tahoe. With what they had it listed at, we knew there was something up. Went to look at it and when we opened the door, the smell of cig smoke almost knocked us down. Salesman said they had tried everything, to no avail. Dude all but begged us to buy it. Cigarette smoke instantly gives me a headache, so the answer is no.

Yes I'm thinking I'm going to pass on it.

BS - Buddy of mine is a sales manager for a large dealership in NOLA. Says about a third of cars being traded in have been smoked in. No one ever knows after they fully detail it.
