I have a hard time thinking that your local mickey mouse police department is going to give up the lucrative shakedown of the local populace. Barney Fife is going to get new marching orders and a list of reasons to pull people over.

Maybe they start to become more stringent with vehicle equipment citations and stuff like that?

Automated cars will get rid of personal injury attorneys. That’s for damn sure. They won’t get rid of Barney Fife though. Unfortunately.

Simple, make inspection stickers last only 6 months at a time, then double the fines for having one that is out of date.
