Growing up we had a dog named Pistache (french for pistachio). My sister named him. Later she had her own dog and named him Stew Meat.

Seriously. I think it was an ex of mine who told me this. Her mom got her dad a pup for Christmas and said "Merry Christmas" as she handed it to him. He said, "Well hello there, Merry Christmas!" and kept that name for it.
