The overthrow of Mohammad Mosaddegh has to be up there at least in American history.
Not only did we overthrow a democratically elected offical, but we were also the UKs bitch boys doing all the leg work for them.

Killing sadam hussain. He wouldn’t have put up with the terrorist groups that have been running the Middle East

seems like Hitler's same decision would be considered equally bad.
I thoroughly think Hitler had the opportunity to beat Russia. He was right outside of the gates of Moscow before General Winter, and tens of thousands of reinforcements arrived from Siberia. I don’t Napoleon could have ever won in Russia, which is why I think Hitler’s is worse.

Because I’m not a delusional idiot that thinks the world is 6,000 years old.

If England stays neutral in WWI then Germany wins quickly. Far fewer WWI casualties, no WWII, no Soviet Union. England and the world would certainly be better off. The only "winner" out of the disaster than we got was the US.
It was already too far out of control at that point that I don’t blame Briton for their decision. I’d jump feet first in it if I didn’t have the knowledge I currently have.

Allowing julian the apostate to get close enough to the battle field for an arrow to hit him.

Lynyrd Skynyrd booking a gig in Baton Rouge in 1977.

Fanz getting shot was the best thing that could have happened to the USA. We cruised to the front of the world power line like everyone else was standing still.

Nope... just a delusional one who thinks everything just sorta flew together exactly in balance, creating life out of absolutely nothing. One single atom is even too complex to “fly together” over billions of millennia, even if the raw material to do so was readily available (which, of course, that had to come from somebody creating it). To believe in anything but divine creation, one HAS to believe in spontaneous generation. And that IS truly delusional. Also, I don’t care how many times or how hard you throw dirt in the air, it ain’t ever gonna come down breathing and calling you “momma”. Creation is ALL God.
BTW the correct answer to the OP is
1. Listening to a snake.
2. Listening to a woman who took advice from a snake.

If Hitler would have convinced the Japanese to send some units to the eastern front of Russia then it would have been even easier for the Germans to topple Russia.

Actually, it was the decision to fly that POS plane along with the loser crew that the band Aerosmith had rejected to fly on earlier in the year.

So the real mistake was Aerosmith not taking the plane

More delusional than believing in some dude sitting up in the sky somewhere acting like a deranged puppet master deciding who gets to live and die today?
Oh wait but free will, blah blah blah.

Electing Obama as President.
What you mean to say is Chicago Tribune pressure judge to release custody records of Jack Ryan and Jeri Ryan’s divorce, airing a bunch of raunchy sexcapades of Ryan causing him to drop out of the senate race opening the door for Obama to run unopposed and win the senate seat in Illinois. Launching his political sky rocket in Washington.
It may not have prevented him from being president at some point but probably would have delayed his rise, which would have in my opinion not allowed the political climate to be what it was at the particular time in history that led to Trump being elected.
I’m not against Trump or Obama it’s just that it’s still weird that Trump is president. I feel like we’re in the middle of some bizarro alternate universe. I mean who is the next celebrity/pseudo celebrity billionaire that will get elected? To me it’s a very strange path our country is heading down.

The people who made up religion have set back humans in just about every generation.
How much further would we be as a species if we didn’t have a large section of the population devoting their lives to their chosen religion, or stalling human progress because of the beliefs they obtained from a made up book thousands of years ago? I’d think we wouldn’t have so many simpletons who settle for “God has a plan”, “Everything happens for a reason” etc. lines that severely limit critical thinking.
