Are Shovel-Americans offended by this fish or something?

Lots of our invasive species come from Asia.

Now some other government agencies are taking the same step in the wake of anti-Asian hate crimes that surged during the coronavirus pandemic. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service quietly changed its designation to "invasive carp" in April, and the Asian Carp Regional Coordinating Committee, representing U.S. and Canadian agencies that are trying to contain the carp, will do likewise Aug. 2, said Charlie Wooley, U.S. agency's Great Lakes regional director.

That’s it, this country is done.

Last summer we were in the spillway fishing and an Asian carp jumped into the damn boat. I was able to slide out of the way at the last second and the thing landed right next to me, hit the floor, and broke a couple of rods. We drove to the bank, tossed it out, and bashed it’s skull with a fire extinguisher.

Not just damn fish, but insects too. Evidently they found a Gypsy somewhere that was offended by the name "Gypsy Moth"

"Gypsy Moths are an Ethnic Slur"
