I find it amazing that people shite on the idea of trying to do clean up our environment. And what’s sad it’s because they were told to take that position. We only have one planet to live on, not wanting to trash it isn’t some giant conspiracy it’s just common sense. Will the donation he gives do anything? No not really. What needs to happen is his company needs to clean themselves up. Will that happen? Probably not.

Or possibly have those billions go towards clean energy research, which is the future and something China is definitely strategically placing itself ahead of us.

So you think paving over millions of acres of grassland and cutting down trees doesn’t have an impact? What about when the population reaches 15 billion?

true actually, they get their climate "facts" from fox news and conservative talk radio. Extremely stupid group.
And you get your “facts” from people who make a living off of using cherry-picked and manipulated data to maintain their gravy train.

You’re a useful idiot.

You’re right but the writing is in the wall that we have greatly exacerbated the speed which is the whole problem. There’s a big difference between climate changing over hundreds of thousands to millions of years compared to a couple hundred. The species on earth don’t have time to adapt and the other stressors that humans have placed on the environment make broad extinctions all but inevitable.

Why be so testy and defensive over this? I’ve never understood that, why the push so adamantly defend trashing the only planet we have? Thank god we didn’t listen to naysayers when it came to the ozone layer. Instead we listened to scientists who said humans are having an effect and here’s what it is (CFCs), did something about it, and the result is that the issue has been by and large solved.

You do realize that the biggest culprit to pollution (both physical and atmoshpere pollution) is China right? Not the US.

You know what their leaders will do when we try to guilt shame them? Laugh and tell us to frick off.

We're all barking up the wrong tree. The USA has the EPA, strict RCRA guidelines, and all manufacturing facilities are regularly audited in the US. Like yearly. And face big, big fines and possible arrest if falling short on the audit. No other country on this planet has the stringent guidelines to follow that the US has. That's why a bunch of businesses bailed and went elsewhere. It's cheaper.

So again, why are Americans being told that we're the problem?

If you're trying to allege people are naive to deny climate change, I'd say it's a lot more naive to deny basic gender.

So there are people who still deny there are just two genders?

Per capita we are the problem. You’re right, China as a whole releases more carbon than the US. They also have a vastly larger population.
