That's because it's not in the US. I went to one in Prague and the people are legitimately working it as an actual job. They take it seriously. It's a much more pleasant experience.

Same experience in Toulouse, France. I was hungry, and it was convenient at the time. The menu is much different than the ones you find in the United States. It was a very pleasant experience, and surprisingly decent food.

Lol, this is the infamous "ghetto McDonald's" in Saint Thomas in the US Virgin Islands.

No, we'd see them go out of business because nobody wants to pay 8 bucks for a Big Mac.

he only fast food there, right? Maybe a Subway IIRC?

Yeah couple of subways and one McDonald's. Everything else is local non-franchise. Fast food chains have tried here but they don't last long

I would take my chances in the hood over gambling on Mohhamed having a bad day and blowing the joint up.

I think all the McDonalds in my town have these machines and they sort of suck. Takes easily twice the time to work the machine than it does to give my order to the person at the counter.

I actually interacted with an employee at one of the McDonalds here locally and she was so nice and helpful (showed me the diff options, gave me a larger cup, offered my kids an extra toy, comped some fries), I wondered if she was setting me up to take my credit card info or something. It was surreal.

Looks like a UFC style McDonald's to me

If only America would stand up and say we're ok with paying more if you give better wages, benefits, and get rid of fricking tipping.

Pretty much.
