I’d be happy with just one of those. I’m not greedy.

I don't know, but they better have those keys locked away in a secure place if you and I are around.

So...not open to the public, they don't drive them. The owner probably never even goes in the garage. Money cover up! I don't get it. What's the purpose of having a collection like that. fricking rich people.

i love people who criticize others , particularly the wealthy, who know absolutely nothing of the big picture

maybe they don't open it to the public because they have to deal with jack offs like yourself?

maybe they just completed the building and are trying to figure out how to administer having the general public in to view it? ie, the permits, the insurance, the hiring of people to administer the facility, fire codes, the list goes on and on... maybe they are holding private tours in the meantime and letting folks film amd put it on YT as a dry run to opening to the public to cross unforeseen hurdles in letting the public view it.

comments like this would insure, if i was the owner, that i would be hesitant to letting john q jackoff come in and shite all over something i spent a lifetime in acquiring.

somewhere in one of the YT vids the guy was back in the service area of cars being restored and they do regularly start and drive each one....just fyi

I've seen that collection in person (went with a car guy who was "in the know").

There's a guy in Shreveport with a very low mileage, like new 66 GTO (the year could be off by one year). It is black and red leather ... a dealer in Detroit specially ordered the car.

I was lucky to be able to see it (I was checking out the guys railroad stuff). The black and red combination was very striking.

True. Friend of mine has a beautiful and large Montana mountain ranch. He allowed "the public" to use a trail through his property to access some public land behind him. The trail started getting littered up, among other things. He was pissed.

The local trail groups were equally appalled. So, the only use of the trail now is to members of two local groups, and they keep the trail spotless.

Most private people don't want "the public" around.

Obviously, it was a fantastic collection - by far the best group of cars I've ever seen (and Dad and I went to see some nice collections over the years).

As Dad would say, "act like you've been somewhere" so I did not take any pictures. Use good decorum and respect someone's privacy and you get invited back.

I'll add that I was kind of in a type of shock. It is hard to fathom or digest seeing so many pristine cars in one place. It is a sensory overload. I've had similar reactions to things a couple of other times - Dad let me ride in the second seat in a new USMC helicopter gunship being one of them.

i was in shock watching the videos. i've restored around a dozen muscle cars and it is exhausting, physically, financially, the whole nine yards, i can only imagine what it was like putting that collection together.

i would consider giving something of high value to view that collection

There is a collection in Metairie in the middle of nowhere that was 100 plus cars. It even has one of the original batmobiles in there. Well over 10 million in that warehouse in cars. So strange having it in Metairie next to a bunch of shitty mark twain apartments. I went for an engagement party that was there for a relative of the owner of the collection

I mean there were 3-4 Ferraris, a couple lambos, multiple sting rays, etc etc. Just unreal

I’m sure there is a poster on here that has been there as well or knows the owner

Nice collection.

Wasnt there a fire that destroyed a rare corvette collection? may 4 or 5 years ago.
