It was a big controversy when Kallais wanted to tear the building down a decade or so ago.

I have not seen it, I admit, but I did say that, "at the very least, they can do something to get him covered up."

They have already placed another tarp to cover the body and it took them less than 48 hours to do. I'n not sure what everyone is so outraged over

I was mad that a bunch of city officials came out and said, "oh it's disrespectful to take photos of the body or put pictures online"

when it's been THREE MONTHS and no one involved appears to have done shite about fixing this or getting the bodies out. besides kabooming the cranes, fricking that up also, then blatantly lying about fricking it up right to our faces lol

This new fad of saying 'fam' irrationally aggravates me. I see it all the damn time lately. Irrationally grinds my gears. Like people that don't wave when you let them through traffic.

I like when they said the result of the implosion was a "Perfect Scenario".

Did you ummmmm see that one of the cranes is still on the building and a part of the other one is jammed directly into Rampart Street?

Perfect scenario my arse.

bruh I was watching the live stream, they announce, "60 seconds until implosion"

about 20 seconds later, they start counting down from 10

10...

9...

8...

7...

6....

BOOM implosion goes off. you can hear people on the walkies reacting like, "whatthefrick whatthefrick whatthtefrick"

headline later that day:
quote:

City: Demolition at Hard Rock went 'as good as it could have';

Do you know why there is no recovery effort?

Too dangerous? No.
Don't have the technology? No.
No one is willing to risk going after their coworker's body? No.

POS insurance companies have said they won't cover the recovery effort, and the shithead developers certainly won't risk their money in case of accident? Yes.

Since they brought the cranes down I haven't heard any more talk of the cranes falling.

The downriver one was leaning farther every day it stood.

The one closest to Canal now has its jib hanging on the top floor and seems relatively stable. Now when they blow that bitch that thing could go anywhere

You don’t think in 2020 a 1st world country with unlimited means can’t figure out a way to stabilize and secure a building to retrieve dead bodies and conduct a controlled demolition?

You don’t think they can’t stabilize the buildings around the site either?

It’s been almost 4 months and they can’t even keep the cable to a tarp tied on a dead man’s leg to hide his body from the public. C’mon man.

I can’t wait for Mardi Gras, that’s going to be the #1 attraction for over 1 million people.

I saw that this evening. Went to the Saenger for Miss Saigon.

Saw the new tarp too.

Disgusting that LaToya and all the other talking BSers have let this go on for almost 4 months.
