My sister's water broke at 25 weeks. They held off the kid from being born until 34 weeks.
Fast forward to now, he's got a full scholarship to a university and got a 33 on his ACT.

Mine was born at the same time. She left the hospital on time and is a healthy, happy 6 year old.
I know those feels bro. But it will be fine.

I have two cousins (twins) born much earlier. Both are healthy, strong, intelligent, successful adults who had their first kids this year.

The doctor is worried about his lung development at this stage
My son was 10 weeks early and his lungs were developed just fine. I was told you only be concerned if they are born around 12 weeks early.
All my son didn't have was his sucking reflex.

Most babies do just fine at 34 weeks. Mine was born at 34 weeks 5 days and had no stay in the nicu for breathing problems.

Baby will be ok. I know it's crazy having a baby way earlier than you expected. We were pre-term for both of ours

Not to downplay your situation but 34.5 weeks is pretty far along. The vast majority of babies (99%+) do just fine at the gestational period.

Hang in there, it's gonna be OK

Hang in there bro. My daughter was born last April at 32 1/2 weeks. She spent a month in the NICU ward and then we brought her home. She was 5lb 6 oz at birth. She's doing great.
They can help the baby with the lung development. Just keep your head up bud. These babies are tough.
