Women are amazing and don't get enough credit sometimes

During WWI (1914-1918), large numbers of women were recruited into jobs vacated by men who had gone to fight in the war. The high demand for weapons resulted in the munitions factories becoming the largest single employer of women during 1918. Housewives and homemakers with no work experience were now depended on in factories all over the US. They went from raising children to churning out tanks and munitions in terrible factory conditions.

WWII was no different. While millions of men left their jobs to join the war effort, millions of women helped turn the US into the greatest industrial war machine the world had ever seen.

These women are heroes. I salute them all.
