Woman’s hospital is woke

Having first kid…
Went for checkup, can’t have any visitors. Have to wear a mask. I asked why because mask mandate is lifted and y’all have been accepting visitors slowly again. “Omicron”. So won’t be able to see birth, can’t go in, etc.
Called Baton Rouge General, they are allowing visitors. Changing to there for delivery.

Except it’s not. This no visitor policy was just implemented a few days ago according to lady we spoke with. They were allowing visitors because I have been going to appts

This is false. Yes they have masks but literally just got off the phone with them because of this thread and they allow two people during labor and delivery.
ETA: read the thread originally as not being allowed to be there for the birth. If it’s just visitors after the birth then yeah that appears to be the case.

This is pretty much the standard right now. It sucks. My facility allows visitors, but no overnights, and masks have to be worn at all times. We're one of the few in the DFW area allowing that.
