Where did the police overreact?

National Guard should've been called in preemptively as a presence at the very least.

Do you remember the last time this was proposed?

You yourself are claiming this officer in the Capitol was a "nervous cop" that shouldn't have shot this woman. While I disagree, I think it's worth a discussion of if there had been enough security to keep them out of the US Capitol she doesn't get shot trying to climb through a window.

We use the Kentucky National Guard for security purposes here for the Kentucky Derby because of the large crowd volume. No reason they shouldn't have been brought out in DC yesterday beforehand.

Here or in DC? We had National Guard here in Louisville in the summer multiple times. We also use them here in Kentucky for major crowd control events like Derby.

I have no issue with that.

I asked you a simple question

Where and when did the police overreact? Those are your words.

You're cherry picking. I gave you an answer. Sorry you lack reading comprehension.

In Portland, to protect federal property.

The media absolutely had a field day with it.

Ok like I said, the BLM protests and riots at that point had been happening for a while and all over the country. Some of them resulted in violence.

True, and I meant to say I only used the BLM protests because they were the most recent ones of high visibility.

I don't really agree here. There was a LOT of talk in recent weeks from Trump supporters on various online forums of taking some type of action. Not sure overtaking the Capitol was specifically discussed, but it definitely should have been on the table for discussion when agencies were planning security. DC is not a city inexperienced in these things. Someone or someones dropped the ball, and it needs to be investigated.

No it wasn't. Like someone else mentioned...this was hinted about for weeks online. Look at the election board.

How many posts on there encouraging people to come to DC for the rally yesterday. All the posts about hinting at Civil War and insurrection. That's been going on the past 2 months on that echo chamber that admins allowed everyone there free reign of posts basically encouraging the seditious acts you saw yesterday.

It is appalling only 13 arrests were made, but I expect that number to massively increase in the next few days.

Do you think politicians should pay their bail??

I thought you didn't follow the media?

I have no issue with the Governor of Oregon calling in the National Guard for crowd control. So feel free to bark up someone else's tree.

Nice that you outed yourself as a complete moron. Too bad the 187 idiots that upvoted you aren't public for everyone to see.

She was part of an attack on the Capitol. Those seditious fools are extremely lucky more of them weren't shot on site.

No one gives a frick aboot the Kentucky Derby

If you need the national guard for a fricking horse race then you have serious police and crowd control issues.

Maybe you could borrow the NOPD when you need "major crowd control events like Mardi Gras and major sporting events"
