As a resident I worked with a psychiatrist who did group therapy on sex offenders. I was ambivalent on the death penalty until then.

Probably the fact she pled, and the facts of the case. If the dude actually performed sex acts with the child that's automatic life at least in La. What she did probably was a very high sentence but not automatic life.

I'm not disagreeing but whatever statute she was charged under prob didn't carry a life sentence like the man's did. 24 yrs is still a long time and she won't have anymore kids at least
