The origins of Endymion are in GENTILLY.... The MAJORITY of original riders lived in that area. Many still ride or are involved.

FIFY

Muniz is a gentilly boy. His radio station (WAIL/WLTS 105.3 and WYAT AM-990) was a block down for the racetrack (still a local radio station). He went door to door In that neighborhood recruiting for the first parade in 1967.

shutting down the biggest Street in the city is problematic.

You mean the street that gets shut down during every parade? Guess what, there are multitudes of ways to get into the city that don’t involve Canal Street. Hell, Uptown is mostly opened up by 3-4p when Canal begins to shut down.

You gotta be a tourist dude, the beauty of new orleans is there are about 50 different ways to get everywhere. In an emergency situation, since you are all about safety, you think they won’t let an ambulance or cop cross??? Please.

It's been done safely for about 50 years. Please list all the atrocities it has caused.

I'll hang up and listen.

It’s a frickin parade. People have prejudices against a parade?

You see how juvenile the mayor is acting towards any criticism she is receiving lately? Woman is a fricking nut bag....really interested to see how she takes the satire I’m sure that will be directed toward her in the next few parades.

He obviously has never been to Endymion. The last float hasn't left Marconi by 6:00PM.

Witness on reddit said it was EXTREMELY gruesome. And that the first responders were fast to set up the tents to shield people from seeing it. Feel terrible for the kids that had to witness that. From what I read, that would scar me for life.

Wouldn’t be surprised if barricades are out tomorrow

I said earlier in the thread that the days of barricade free magazine on Wed and Thursday night have come to an end. Sucks, two years ago the only folks on magazine catching Nyx and Muses were people who actually lived in the area.

I’m on 31, I might not even be on my float by 6.
