It's not that people are afraid of a successful woman, it's that most men prefer a woman who keeps the house in order and takes care of the kids rather than pay a sitter to do this.

But fewer and fewer married people are having kids and women continue to join the work force and pursue their own careers.
Women want to earn their own money and not have to be dependent on a man.
