The fact that she actually dresses like its the 50s and watches 50s shows is kinda weird.

she's obviously obsessed with the decade and thats ok, theres a lot worse obsessions she could have and she looks great, I always had a thing for Donna Reed so I'm a bit biased.

Her instagram is actually pretty interesting. Lots of 40s and 50s stuff. She’s also apparently a Messianic Jew.

My wife and I own a 50's clothing company. You'd be shocked at the amount of women with the 50's obsession. And they love burlesque, too. Life is good.

If there were more of these women around I likely would have been married for 25 years at this point.

I'm so fortunate. I met and married one about fifty two years ago. She held a job, cooked, kept the house clean, and took care of my every need.
When I meet folks of my generation, talk about problems, I wonder why was I so luck.
I tell her every day.
While I'm playing she is dusting furniture.

She'll say he held her down and stifled her ambitions during the divorce.

Sounds to me like she just got tired of working, so is playing the "I'll be a housewife card" while he makes all the money. Pretty genius.

Dresses like the 50's is fine. She wear those pointy bras as well?

Don't think I could handle I Love Lucy and Leave it to Beaver all the time though.

Yeah, kinda reminds me of those really weird women who dress goth-lolita (or even just regular lolita). Strange people.

Call it what you want, but its costume.

Plus sized chicks love retro attire. They do the hairstyles and all.

She's not 100% 50's.

Has stainless appliances and obviously a smartphone.

Instagram is interesting. I like how she dresses.

Agreed.

Although I will say wearing a dress with a petticoat underneath is fun. Had to dress 50s-60s retro for my husband's work holiday party couple years ago. I felt like a little girl wanting to twirl in my dress

Also loved wearing the small black gloves I wore with the dress.

It would be fun to be an extra in a movie set in the 50s. But everyday wear...oh helll no.

I think retro attire is cute as can be. But lets not pretend it doesn't make you stand out. There's a reason 90% of the women who dress like that all the time are covered in tattoos as well. Its firmly associated with "alternative" women.

Search the hashtag #pinup. There are some that aren't very extreme, but the ones who do it as a lifestyle are already unique in their looks.

I know I couldn't personally be with someone who stands out for strange attire in public, but I hate any attention on me.

I love to peruse ModCloth's website. Always thought it would be cute to wear a 50s housewife dress if its your bridal shower.
