Is he involved somehow? Didn’t see anything about him or any statements from him.

Wafb had a nice story about how he helped with the rescue efforts, I have heard nothing bad or suggestive about his involvement

I can’t imagine how he’d be involved if he wasn’t on the boat.

Her ex boyfriend was also heavily involved with the search effort. His Facebook page is full with him organizing meeting points for search crews

Procedural question: who has jurisdiction for crimes occurring on Lake Pontchartrain?
Posted on 8/8/18 at 7:16 pm to tgrbaitn08
Just because she was in great physical shape, doesn't mean that she was a strong swimmer. I spent most of my life as a kid to about my mid 50's swimming diving and fishing on the lake. We shrimped their for years. If you and your partner get in the water and don't anchor your boat, you are asking for trouble. The current moves faster that you expect. But just a little wind can move your boat away from you faster, than someone who is not a very fast swimmer can catch up with. Just saying, people should wait for the facts before jumping to conclusions. It doesn't explain why they separated while in the water.

I’ve heard if you go out to where you can’t see land it’s basically international waters as far as the law is concerned.

The lake is not international waters. All the surrounding parishes cover portions.
