The article doesn't spell it out, but I feel certain she got started down this path with some "thrifty moms" message board life hacks.

The first person I thought of when I saw her picture was a character actor who you’ve seen many times but whose name you would never know. His name is Mike Starr.
Probably the two biggest movies that you would recognize him from are Goodfellas and Dumb and Dumber.
In Goodfellas, he played the Lufthansa security guard who told Henry Hill how easy it would be to pull off the heist. When Robert De Niro asked him about security at the terminal, his reply was, “you’re looking at it!"
In Dumb and Dumber, he played the guy who Lloyd and Harry pick up in their dog van. He sits in the middle of them as they make annoying sounds.

Got a $50 specialty plumbing tool I knew I would only use once and returned it to Lowes the same day in like new condition.
Look at Babytac Jr committing return fraud
HD has a tool rental department but then it would have actually cost you money since you can't return rentals. I am guessing you knew that and went this route anyway, scammer
I deal with return fraud constantly in my Amazon business and hate people like you. You return something opened and used, it can no longer be sold as new, no matter what kind of shape it is in. Either it has to be RTV for a credit, trashed, or sold open box. All are a loss, and that's not counting the processing of handling it.

If i buy something and it turns out to be the wrong product because I made a mistake, I throw it away or give it away. It's not the store's fault I bought the wrong item and it's not the poor guy's fault that unknowingly buys a product that's been opened, the packaging torn open and then returned.
This is dumb. If it's an honest mistake and you haven't hurt the item, it's fine to return. Do you return, say, a jacket or pair of pants you ordered online that end up not fitting?
I wouldn't buy something, use it once, and return it just because I don't need it anymore. But if I measure something incorrectly and the item is still in "new" condition, I'll go exchange or return it.
That isn't a serial returner mindset. Nor am I a serial returner, however. I don't buy much without going overboard on researching it.

Totally off subject but do you know of a place around New Orleans that sells returned/unused construction materials for a discounted price?
Someone mentioned it to me yesterday but could not recall the name of this place.

How does that make her awful? Bc she made a bad choice? She saw a loop hole and got greedy. Anyone on this board that could save a few bucks at a Lowe's or Home depot would absolutely jump on that. And if you say you wouldn't your a liar. And if you truly wouldnt then good for you. Lol
