They were bread to go down animal holes and flush them out, I think badgers primarily? I mean people wonder why they are mean, and don't understand or try to comprehend their original purpose.

No joke, I have been bitten by dogs two times that drew blood. Both of those were weiner dogs.

Badgers are correct.

They can be mean but they can also be incredibly sweet and loving. They're extremely stubborn. Miss my old dachshund, they're pretty fun, but their back problems are kind of scary.

Okay, just last weekend my fiance's dog bit our friend's 1.5 year old child in the face!

I was a little nervous because he has bitten guys before. When they first showed the dog walked up the the toddler. I was ready to snag him but the dog immediately started licking their child's face. He was laughing and petting him and they were doing fine. We started taking pictures of them and so I kinda became less cautious because they seemed like best friends. Well about 10 minutes later we hear the dog growl and then the baby started crying. Sure enough, he bit him on the cheek. Drew blood and everything. It wasn't too bad, but definitely scary for everyone.

The kid was tough and stopped crying after a couple of minutes. I think he just hugged him too hard or maybe grabbed his ear, but there's no way I'm allowing that dog around small children anymore.

It's very deceiving cause he really is a sweet dog, just kinda snapped. Luckily for us, it wasn't too bad and our friends were very understanding.

Dachshunds are also called "Badger Hounds". Must be called that for a good reason.

Why didn't she just kick them?

They weren't small toy sized dogs and there were 7 of them.

This reminds me of the time a pack of unarmed humans took down a silverback gorilla.

Dachshunds were bred by the Germans for badger hunting. Had several back in the day. Only had one that was ill tempered. Rest were pretty good dogs.
