I'd set up solar panels and a single home desalination plant.
I guess it's inhospitable during winter because it's too cold. No fireplace and no heat.

If this is your philosophy, you've missed out on some good times.
Those "good times" are exactly why I have this philosophy now.

I'd want it to float, not just be on stilts. Erosion, rising sea levels...hope she didn't get a 30 year mortgage.

Seems a winter storm would pretty easily wash right over that rock.
You’re probably right. BUT, if I’m getting my dick sucked it doesn’t matter.

Some solar and storage, aquatias septic (I bet you can’t use traditional because it would contaminate the surrounding area) and starlink and you have a pretty sweet place to get away to.

The frick is wrong with some of y'all?
Every time one of these questionable "wyhi" threads get posted and there's goobers on here drooling over some dog-faced droopy sad woman, it makes me seriously question the quality of women where you're from

Apparently, this lady was bold for staying 4 days in a row, even the original owner never stayed that many days in a row.
Lack of energy would make it tough to live. No refrigeration would make it tough. If that thing had enough power to run a 40 amp breaker, I could make it a few weeks to a month at a time with some water, firewood and charcoal, or a propane grill.

Am I missing something? Why is the place supposed to be so scary/inhospitable? In winter months I can see the concern. But what wild animals are supposed to inhabit the island that makes it so challenging?
You would be terrified.

The pic has a light on with sockets on the wall. I could spend a weekend there, just fishing, drinking and fricking all day.

No trees on that Island... There's a reason for that...

Do I have to empty the outhouse?
I wouldn't advise doing anything that removes valuable mass from the island, regardless of how vile that mass might be.
