Just curious of others opinions here. IMHO, I fully support honoring our veteran's, but that is not what this holiday is about. It is about the birth of our nation and for a university not to acknowledge that seems out of place. Maybe knowledge history is just not a strong suit anymore, or more to the point, even less than I thought it was.
Thoughts, I'll hangup and listen.

Some people just want to honor veterans at every chance - some for good reasons, some for selfish ones.

There's a huge arse American flag in there. And although the 4th is partly an arbitrary since the signing of the declaration took months to complete since it was done in secret, it still signifies our independence won through war and fought by soldiers.
Get over it
Get over it

We wouldn't have a nation without the men that fought and died to create America. I don't see a problem with the post.

I am over it and just wanted others opinions. I understand your point and think veterans should be honored all the time. Its just people always mix up the meaning of our national holidays. Confusing the meaning of Memorial Day versus Veterans Day etc

I can think of so many things that bother me in today's society. This "issue" is not one of them.

Yeah, I agree. Maybe that is what kinda caught my attention more than the post itself. Just the overall apathy.
Either way...'Murica

Maybe they are just tired of the entitlement

It's certainly not right but it's not something that bothers me.

Huge pet peeve of mine. I took a swing at this disrespectful little shite last memorial day when he thanked a veteran for their service.
Learn what the holiday is for punk.
