You need to eat food. You don't need to do that inside a restaurant.

You don't need to buy a new pair of jeans in person, or watch a movie in Theatres.

I know its probably hard for you, but this isn't hard to figure out.

We are ALREADY aware that Wal-Mart sells groceries. We are asking what’s ‘essential’ about clothing??

You’re missing the point. If your rationale to shut down the department store is to stop the spread of the virus, then how are you stopping it by allowing Wal-Mart to sell the same things the department store does?

Again, is there some immunity to catching the virus at Wal-Mart?

Are you actually advocating for limiting what items a business can sell while open? That's dumber than the shut down

Nope. I’m pointing out how dumb it is to make the rule arbitrary and capricious.

How many people are now going to be sicker because their immune systems have been shielded for the last two months?

I believe Michigan has done just that.

ETA: Yep, they did.

Again - that's your fricking opinion Karen. I should have the right to do what ever I feel comfortable doing. If Joe Dirt wants to open his barber shop, I should be able to go. The Government shouldn't be picking winners and losers based off of them selling bread or not.

We're past the flatten the curve bull shite, are we going to stay locked up until there are 0 new cases per day?

The fact that lowes and walmart are zoos is enough to say open it all back up

What happens if you don't eat food?

What happens if you don't see the new Clint Eastwood movie in a theatre?

Thats not an opinion you fricking moron.

Not sure what is arbitrary about deeming a store that sells food as essential. It's not like Walmart can just shut down their other departments, and asking the hourly cashier to police what people buy is a huge ask. Instead, most governments have decided to just ask consumers to use some common sense on what is essential, and what is not, and clearly that has been quite difficult for a lot of people to make that determination. If clothing isn't essential to you when you're in Walmart, don't buy any.

Again - Daddy Government says I can walk around Rouses for groceries with 100 other people, but I can't eat at the little restaurant around the corner that might only sit 20 people?

Why don't you tell us when we can re-open? 6 months? when we hit some arbitrary number of cases per day? Never?

Why not? They did it in Michigan with Lowe’s, Home Depot. I’m not advocating that they do that, but just pointing out that I can walk in Wal-Mart and buy clothes, but I can’t walk into Kohl’s and buy clothes. Arguing that Wal-Mart sells food doesn’t change the fact that I can just as easily catch the virus buying clothes at Wal-Mart.

Yeah for a few reasons

1. You are likely gettingmroe than 1 meal at rouses.
2. You likely aren'y in close proximity to the people at rouses whiel you are there, because 1, your'e all moving, 2 its a bigger space.

Unless you're an a-hole, both of the above should be true. But you seem like an a-hole so, it may not be.

I understand everyone whats to get back to business as usual, and I understand this isn't sustainable in the long term, but are just getting the the downswing of this thing. Lets hold out a little longer.

This isn’t sustainable short term, but you are so set in your position that you reject that fact.

Sure but you and the other mouth breathing petri dishes aren't going to stay out of the places I do need to go.

You can do everything from home.

With deliveries and the like, you don’t ever have to leave the house.

You are the rate limiting factor in this situation.

This isn't an option for everyone, but it is one I use.

Realistically form a public standpoint "let me spread the disease if I want and everyone can avoid me" isn't a via option.

That's small potatoes.

There are supposed to be about 5,000 cancer diagnoses everyday. How many of those diagnoses have not taken place over the last two months? People are too scared or aren't allowed their routine colonoscopy/endoscopy/ct scan/etc and are potentially progressing to later stage cancers.

But at least they aren't getting a cough with a < 1% mortality rate.

And “keep everything locked down because I want to go out but I don’t want anyone else to” isn’t a viable option.

You can continue using it indefinitely.

You do not ever have to leave your home with modern technology.

On a side note, people like you are going to be the general reason why this respiratory flu season may be one of the worst in history.

Because y’all believed that staying away from everything shortens the period, all you are going to do is push coronavirus back into flu season.

Good job.
