... WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CST TONIGHT... THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NEW ORLEANS HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN... WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CST TONIGHT. * TIMING... LIGHT TO MODERATE RAIN OCCURRING WILL BEGIN TO MIX WITH SLEET SHORTLY AFTER NOON AND EVENTUALLY CHANGE OVER TO A LIGHT FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND THIS EVENING. THE CHANGE OVER WILL SLOWLY EXPAND TO THE EAST THROUGH THE EVENING HOURS. * DURATION... 4 TO 6 HOURS OF A LIGHT WINTRY MIX. * MAIN IMPACT... LIGHT ICE ACCUMULATIONS WILL CREATE SLICK SPOTS ON MAINLY ELEVATED ROADWAYS SUCH AS BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES. * OTHER IMPACTS... LIGHT GLAZE ON TREES AND POWERLINES. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW... SLEET... OR FREEZING RAIN WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. THE ADVISORY IS BEING EXTENDED SOUTH TO MAINLY COVER NORTHERN PORTIONS OF IBERVILLE, WEST BATON ROUGE, EAST BATON ROUGE, AND LIVINGSTON PARISHES.

I-12 is probably the cutoff area. so they have to include all of any parish within the warning
