So weather channel says it's 37 in San Antonio & 35 in Austin but it's snowing like that? Woooow.

So y’all are saying I’m getting my hopes up only to be disappointed? Live in BR

We're saying it's a complicated recipe that can bust to produce nothing. Could also have inches of snow by morning. Be excited because this is a pretty money set up for us in BR, but it's never easy snow here.

from what I understand it doesn't need to be below 32 to snow, down south 33-36 is about the ideal range to produce snow and if I remember right when it snowed in 08' temps were about 33-34.

Regardless of snow or not, I'd plan to not drive much tomorrow. Even in a freezing rain situation people don't know how to drive.

It's all about the vertical temp profile. If it's 35 on the ground but quickly drops under freezing as you go up, it can snow.

Just like how a couple of years ago we got rain falling here despite it being freezing at ground level and it turned to ice. Was warmer above the surface.

It's been my anecdotal experience as a resident of BR for about 40 years that none of the "major" snow events (A couple of inches or more that accumulated) that we have ever had were accurately predicted by the weather folks. In other words, it seems like these things are very hard to forecast, especially in relation to regular stuff like thunderstorms.
