From Wafb's Facebook Left lane of I-12 closed in both directions from oneal to denham to make it easier to manage icy conditions should they arise.

What about New Orleans?
Hard to say, on my phone on the train. Some of the models late last night started picking up on some dry air that was colocated with an area of bad dynamics for precipitation. It looks like it is still there this morning. That would put best precipitation North and South of that area. New Orleans looks to be on that southern edge. Once the 12z balloon data (soundings) comes in then we will be able to see a much better profile of the column.

Im about 30 miles SE of alexandria. Been sleeting and mixing pretty good since about 1. Pure snow about to come in.
No snow yet in Bunkie, but the roads are in bad shape and the icy mix is still coming down good.

Who is angry? Not me. We just have a bunch of amateur meteorologists in this thread with no idea what they're talking about but acting like they do

I hear stuff hitting my window right now. Don't feel like going to look to see if it's freezing rain or not. I live in watson

the moisture aloft will very quickly cool the temperature, hence the quick drops one tends to encounter
