hb is part border collie so he loves the cold weather, the ice gives him no problems and makes him a good sled dog

It's coming down the same way now in Shenandoah. All the roofs are white. Ground accumulation on the edges but not middle of the yard.

That's all sleet accumulation. It hasn't snowed a fart in BR yet.

Yea, so weatherbug has 0% for any type of moisture for the rest of the day in Zachary. Storm over. Carry on.

For the most part, it hasn't really been sleeting "heavily" here (with the exception of some scattered bursts) but whatever is dropping sure as hell is accumulating because everything looks covered in ice.

Power lines don't look to be growing icicles or drooping so that's a plus.

Beautiful deck. Do you by chance water-seal it with Thompson's?

When I read about stuff like this going on in Atlanta/Birmingham, I feel fortunate...

From the SEC Rant Off Topic Board...

quote:

I live in Southside and my son is at a school downtown. Normally takes less than 20 minutes on the roundtrip. Took over four hours, before I eventually parked downtown and he and I walked the last 1.5 miles home.

quote:

Friend just said there were so many abandoned cars going up Double Oak Mt, it's nearly impassable. I'm staying at the office, and looks like the kids are spending the night at school.

quote:

Wife (who finally was able to get the little one from school) parked at the bottom of the hill (where all the cars/trucks were piled up in ditches from the folks trying and go up or down it) and they hiked up and over to the house.
