Now they won't get sick, run up medical bills, and won't miss school.

I know I could but the forecast yesterday was calling for 2-4 inches of snow, just though it for sure we'd have at least something significant

This is almost over, and man it was some bullshite, it's exactly as been pointed out in this thread multiple times, people underrated Friday and overcompensated for this one, naming it and all.

This is weak sauce and I doubt the BR area gets anything more.

Better to be prepared rather than not but...yawn...for my daugthers' sake they are going to be upset, they really wanted to build a snowman or at least make snow angels...

I'm sad for them

the majority of the snow is not supposed to be here until 6 or so

Quick hijack

rds and tom do yall have degrees in atmos sciences? If so where did yall study?

I don't have an atmos sciences degree. I have a M.S. plus work towards a PhD (that I probably won't bother finishing). I've taken a number of met/atmos classes and have done research on atmospheric modeling / air dispersion. I've worked on modeling and data analysis. My main interest is in long range modeling.

You can't go wrong with any of those 3 schools. From the people I know forecasting is a hard field to break into. Look into specializing in modeling/programing/GIS. You want to have an "in" plus you can apply that knowledge to other fields. Or just be hella good at forecasting.

The amount of sleet we have got in Lakeview the last 20 minutes is enough to completely screw over the roads

live behind BMHS... have been listening to sleet hit my windows for about 20 mins

It might be stopped by the dry air.
