More than likely. My parents had five kids. I have one. The wife and I have been saving for retirement since day 1. Daughter will probably inherit a Jeep with half a million miles, our house, and whatever cash we don't use up because of old age.

I'm gonna say probably, but if you take into account the amount that he invested in my siblings and me so far (private education, summer camps, vacations, etc.), it would be very hard to match.

My dad made more in his life than his dad did.

Told me the other day that he hopes he can leave us something.

It all depends on how long he lives.

I would be happy to get nothing in that scenario.

Yep. My dad died on Christmas this past year and I'm managing my mom's money. I'm 42 and already have way more than double what she has and she has many years left in her. I hope she leaves me with very little.

In your best guess estimate as your life will progress, do you think you will pass down more to your kids than you may receive, or have already received, from your parents?

I'm on a better start than my dad, but my father had a hell of a start-up company when he was 40. Hopefully I will, but I'm not counting on it. I honestly think my dad and I will be about even adjusted for inflation.

Honestly no idea how much I am supposed to inherit. If I have a shite ton of money when I get older, the money passed down will be merit-based.

I know plenty of people who got money when they turned 18 and either blew through it within 5 years or turned into drug addicts.

Yes. Land was given to me. I bought more and had already gave all of it to my kids. Both are trying to buy even more at this time.

I select cut my place every 25 years. The land I gave my kids, they know that when it's time to cut again, that money comes back to Mom and Dad.

our first thinning is due soon.
i fully expect that whatever money he makes off of this, he will/should keep(although me and him paid for the trees, he might give some to my younger brothers)
after that who knows, but i have power of attorney so i can commit both of parents

I will inherited 300 acres I plan on that being 600-1000 acres by the time I pass it on to my kids so the short answer is yes.
