Amazing what a difference of a few words means. "Whatever your name is." vs "I forget your name." are both condescending responses but one being a whole lot more so than the other.
There were also different transcriptions of the penthouse comment.

Tweets from cj should be banned. Not only does he just seem like a giant douche but he is so pro defense it isn't funny. At least Chick is more impartial.

This is so hard to follow ... almost wish it was somehow "live".

why would you want to ban someone because you dont agree with their opinion?

They shouldn't be allowed to tweet anything other than direct quotes

What is the Penthouse comment about?

He is presenting quotes but compared to all the other reporters, his are twisted.

It would take more than your normal impact to make that thing change speed or jolt forward.

Anyone that tags a saints players twitter handle or #team Gleason is just trying to sway opinions.

quote:I've been on the pro-collision side of this discussion from the beginning. I thought it was obvious there was a tap and that Hayes' vehicle moved forward due to the impact. After looking at the video many times and ignoring Smith's vehicle and focusing on Hayes' vehicle it looks to me that momentum carries Hayes forward and that Smith's sudden stop makes it seems as though there is a collision. If there was a collision, which is very possible, it's not as obvious as many of you are making it out to be.

I just read this entire thread and I didn't see where Mrs. Smith was asked if she saw a gun at all.
Was she asked by the defense if she saw a gun in Hayes' hands?

I've followed this trial all day, and there are a few lines of questioning that I am curious to see developed over the course of the trial.
However, the one I am really curious about is what Fuller knows about gunshot residue, asking Ms. Smith if her husband went to the gun range that day. He could be asking that to establish that Smith carried the gun for protection or confrontation purposes, and not for sport; but he could also know something we don't about whether Smith shot the gun. It's hard to really judge a line of questioning when all you get is tweets, but that issue really stuck out to me as a foundation for something to come later on.

it was worded in a weird way but she said she did not see the gun or person that shot her, or something along those lines. I am assuming that if hayes had the weapon in his hand the whole time that she would have definitely brought this up.

And you are correct, a reporter used to reporting exactly what is said would be better than a lawyer.

Ok. I remember the answer she gave but having not been in the courtroom I thought she was asked if she saw the person who shot her or if she saw Hayes firing his gun.
Twitter is a horrible way to get accurate trial testimony. Who knew ?

quote:yeah. I just think that it would have been a point of emphasis from the ada to make sure she stated that hayes got out of the vehicle with gun in hand if that is actually what happened.

In what capacity? I remember her being asked if Will fired his gun at a range or if she knew what he did with it at FQF. Other than that idk if she gave any testimony about Will having a gun.
ETA: I agree with diat. If she testified that Hayes had a gun it surely wasn't very prominently pointed out.
