I don't like how someone can be charged with one thing and not be found guilty on that charge but on a lesser one.
I find that kind of sketchy too, but not as sketchy as the state withholding an aggravated assault with a firearm charge just so they have something to fall back on in case this trial goes bad. If he would have gotten a not guilty last night, then had to go through another trial for the same incident, I would have a problem with that. The state should lay all their cards out on the table from the beginning.

If Hernandez hadn't been an idiot and Smith been drunk, no one would have been injured or died.
Or if Hayes hadn't smashed into the back of a vehicle? Let's remember there were more parties at fault here than just Hernandez and Smith.

Quit putting words in my mouth you bafroom. I was pumping guilty and guilty he was.

He shoulda got off sounds like he was just defending himself from a deranged ex-NFL player with road rage.
This is a victory for gun control advocates everywhere. Who says a man can't defend himself with fire when he's attacked? The NFL player starter shooting first is what I read in the Advocate.
Christ have mercy.

I've ran into the back of someone and it's happened to me twice. Amazingly, no one was shot or killed and there wasn't even a confrontation .

Referring to the 2 that wanted murder charges:

Did you slam into the person on purpose and exit your vehicle with a gun in your hand?

Mike Perlstein came back and said it wasn't unanimous after all. Said it was 10-2, the 2 wanting 2d degree Murder.
That says a lot. Not one person on the jury thought it was self defense.
Where all are the self defense posters that were on here last week saying Hayes feared for his life and acted in self defense?

Twice.

Good job on not doing what Hayes did.
The victim blaming (not by you necessarily) now that the verdict has been decided on is absurd. Perhaps if Hernandez had been the one killed, I could understand it. But that's not what went down.

Did Hayes or the evidence say if he shot Raquel on purpose?

Did you know that according to those here and an "expert" you did it intentionally because you didn't apply your brakes 30 seconds before impact?

Literally no one has said anything like that.

Janky are you here to say that justice has prevailed and the system worked? Or are you going to continue to whine like a baby that Hayes was acting in self defense?
Posted on 12/12/16 at 7:52 am to tgrbaitn08
I don't believe I ever said it was self defense. I was pretty indifferent on which way it went. However, I will continue to call bullshite on elements of the trial I believe to be.

Nothing in that last post of your was an element of the trial.
ETA: Or maybe I missed the testimony. Can you link me to where the expert said you had to hit the brakes 30 seconds prior to contact for the hit to not be intentional?

So you agree with the verdict?
Posted on 12/12/16 at 7:57 am to LNCHBOX
So, an expert did not says Hayes intentionally ran into Smith?

You left out your bullshite number of 30 seconds.
