I think he might actually be setting up a great trap. He get's the ADA to go all in on the fact that only Hayes fired, then fuller openly admits Hayes was the only one to shoot, and brings up the question that if Smith was shot while he was returning to his vehicle, how IS the reside on his hands?

Why does it matter? Explain it.

There's no evidence that Smith fired a weapon whatsoever. No one has testified to this. There's pictures of his body partially in the vehicle.

Its pretty stupid but stupid people probably eat this shite up.

obvious misdirection.

I think there is a layer here you are missing.

If Smith did NOT shoot a gun, then if there is residue his hands were close to a gun that went off.

That would make sense.

Has anyone testified that Smith wrestled for the gun? Seriously, I have not been able to follow until today and don't think I know much of the evidence already presented.

You mean like when he got shot several times at point blank range?

No.

Nado knows Hayes and is making shite up.

Creating some doubt that Smith might have been tangling for the gun when the shooting started. Let's see where he takes it.

That's what I was thinking as well. And why there were questions earlier to the wife, whether or not Will was at the shooting range earlier that day.

one witness said smith never contacted hayes
and the other said smith did nothing to deserve being shot in the back 7 times.

Exactly my point, if Smith never fired a weapon, if I am on a jury, I am really curious how that residue got there. Fuller is going about it differently than I would set it up, but I can see him absolutely painting the narrative into the corner that there is no way Smith shot a gun, then turning around and asking "how do you explain the residue, was he struggling for Hayes gun?"

How does this help Hayes?????

So Hayes can have a gun pointed at him at point blank range, and smith wrestles with him to take the gun and gets shot.

I don't think that helps Hayes at all.

I literally don't care at all.

I'm not one of the guys you have been going back and forth with.

I am just trying to make sense of a good lawyer's seemingly confusing line of questioning; I personally think he has something up his sleeve.
