Will MLB now do away with tickets and allow anyone that says the paid in? It’s only fair.

I mean I gotta show proof I paid by giving them a ticket but don’t have to show proof to vote in a state. Why even pay for my hotdog. It’s so obvious they’re stealing elections and half of America thinks this is good.

Are you insinuating a private business is not allowed to make their own rules?

And poliboard, MSB, or just keep your thoughts written down on a notepad.

I absolutely support a private business making their own rules but when they enter the political environment shouldn’t they apply the standard they hold for for voting equal to their own standard for business. If not maybe they should just stick to baseball which would be my preference. I enjoy MLB but don’t need them entering the political environment.

They chose to make this stand, commenting on it is fair game.

I'm guessing the OP has some sort of Conservative to Libertarian view on politics.

So, shouldn't my question on him be fair game as well?

You can but you are making a stupid argument. The entire point is the MLB is not holding themselves to the same principles and rules as they preach when it comes to voting laws.

Y'all keep saying shite like this, but they'll just say that there is evidence of people sneaking into games but no evidence of voter fraud.

We need evidence of voter fraud. We need people getting caught and convicted. Otherwise we are just making it harder for lazy arse people to get out and vote, so they can just say voter suppression.

Face it. We are losing on this issue, and badly.

Yeah, the OP is saying showing proof of purchase to a private event is on the same level as access to a constitutional right.

That is a perfectly logical argument.

The alcohol purchase ID'ing is at least something close.

There is voter fraud in every state. Dead people vote in every election. Democrats don’t want to stop the fraud because it’s in their favor. Everyone knows this.

I think you deserve a free game and a free hotdog. It's only fair.

I mean, here in Texas no one is asked for an ID or to be registered to vote before casting theirs...

Making it a crime to give people standing in line to vote a bottle of water is certainly addressing the alleged rampant voter fraud.

Don't lose sight of the fact it has been argued, with a straight face, on tOT that only landholders should vote and no women should vote.

No, I think he's saying that a federally granted monopoly like the MLB that receives special protections against competition and also gets large portions of its stadiums built with public funds should probably STFU on political issues as they are basically gov't employees to begin with.

maybe they think voting is a right and attending a baseball game is a privilege?

Amen. Treason has also been discussed here and on the Poli Board. But these are only reasonable people on this site.

People can get water in line you hack.

They just can't get anything from a political actor.

But keep lying as it just proves what everyone knows. You are a liar.

Strange hill to die on (especially when phrased in that manner) but that applies only to the no electioneering buffer zone and only to those who aren't poll workers. So the polling place can hand out water or a campaign can have a water booth a block away.

Alternative is to try to parse what level of gift rises to the level of a bribe.
