Yea, the mask works completely differently when inside the hospital vs outside. You really are knowledgable.

A hospital is confined and constant personal contact with little to no ability to restrict those circumstances; it cannot practically be avoided. The majority of the public doesn't have to operate under these conditions and can find ways around it to still get things done. What point do you think you are making?

Or..... the PPE was for her protection and makes sense in a clinical setting, but not in the general public. Either way.

I agree with that and I was never addressing the unique circumstances of being a healthcare worker. Whether you agree or not, the measure she had to take did both - reduced the likelihood of transmission to and from.

You are the one trying to conflate the two.

Speak truth to these idiots. I haven’t stopped masking. My wife’s son and I wore two masks today on our way to his elementary school this morning. Even with my Odyssey’s AC on full blast it was still hot but at least we were safe.

You have the right to wear mask, others should have the same right not to. If it scares you or your other white liberal friends, don’t go in public

I'm more interested in the point you think you're making. You've completely ignored my point to go off on some random tangent.

Well they certainly didn't seem t o think so considering they could take the masks off to go into other patients' rooms. IF what you claim is true, they would wear masks at all times around all patients.

You may need a dictionary.

Unless you are one, I'll be satisfied if you and the other upstanding "baws" on this thread admit your opinion on the matter is as unqualified as mine.

I made my point. I argued masks help reduce transmission to others; not stop transmission from others. You disagree. What more are you interested in?

You said this:

quote:

Yea, the mask works completely differently when inside the hospital vs outside. You really are knowledgable.

I.e. inside a hospital is the same as outside a hospital. Which scenario do you think is more conducive to spreading a virus even with protective measures? A. In settings where people can stay home or actively avoid contact with others or B. Working in a hospital where doing one's job requires constant close contact with other people, sick or otherwise.

You can certainly disagree, but that's two very different circumstances. The mask doesn't work differently, but healthcare workers did a lot more than just a mask because they can't avoid others like the general public can.

quote:

Well they certainly didn't seem t o think so considering they could take the masks off to go into other patients' rooms. IF what you claim is true, they would wear masks at all times around all

That's another part of the difference in circumstances. It was my understanding healthcare workers were tested more frequently. That's a level of confidence not present among the general public.

You are the one trying to equate the two.

Dude has about 10% of his posts from the past 8 years in this thread. Definitely a covidian. When you're on the same side as C on Z, you are already gone.

Also, a nerd for good measure.

I’m in blood research and diagnostics. Never wore a mask because critical thinking tells me there is no benefit. Everyone wearing a mask is being foolish.
