Bro we’re about to be full on republican in all 3 branches. I’d rather that than democrats, but single party rule is just that, ruled.

Make Louisiana way below average again.
I could get behind it.

There were some good replies on here acknowledging the lack of mountains, beaches, and hiking/biking spots many desirable residents look for. The humid weather is also a concern for many, but the sunshine is a plus.
Also the chemical plants and hurricane/flood risks do scare some folks off.
Louisiana needs to embrace its amazing culture and find ways to have the Waco, TX Fixer Upper and Laurel, MS Home Town revivals of small/medium cities. Cities will have to make cleanliness and safety as top priorities to make this a reality.
It needs to find a niche revenue stream like Delaware with its business incorporation protections, Maine with its trailer tags, or Wyoming with its blind LLCs. With Louisiana's Napoleonic Law, I'm sure there are some unique opportunities.
Louisiana needs an IMG Academy for its homegrown talent that is nearby.
It needs to innovate insurance to overcome national companies charging unsustainable rates.
Louisiana needs to start emphasizing apprenticeship and vocational education in high school - maybe even middle school. And hold parents and students accountable for poor and dangerous behavior.
Host more regional, national and international sports tournaments. There is plenty of cheaper and flat land to build recreational facilities.

We aren’t oblivious. Most of us can’t leave. Most of us also know we don’t have the money or political power to attempt to make a difference. So we live in decent communities and do our best to raise our families and keep the trash out.

Blahapedia: Jason Blaha Exposed
Jason Blaha of Jason Blaha's Strength and Fitness has achieved fame on YouTube, earning tens of thousands of dollars a year in ad revenue by claiming to expose frauds. How ironic that he himself is actually the biggest fraud of them all.
The purpose of this page is to prove that Jason Blaha is not someone you should support or take advice from. He is not qualified, not intelligent, and is a massive scumbag, so it's troubling to see him continue to make money off YouTube. Everything here is backed up with evidence, which you should examine for yourself and draw your own conclusions from. Blaha is now claiming that this website and the movement against him in general are funded by the supplement industry in order to discredit him. Nah, most people already know that most supplements are useless, but you shouldn't need Blaha to tell you that.
Blaha's lies were first uncovered by the original ExposedTV YouTube channel circa 2016. The videos got hundreds of thousands of views and caused a mass exodus of subscribers on Blaha's channel. Unfortunately, Blaha managed to take the channel down by filing fraudulent copyright claims against the videos, since they used footage from Blaha's channel in order to prove that he contradicted himself. However, some of the videos have since been re-uploaded on this channel. To this day, he tries covering up everything by claiming he was just "trolling," continues to flag videos that expose him, and censors his comments section.
Just google this assclown’s handle. Much more out there, multiple of lies and deceit.

In as much as I would agree with most on here that Louisiana is beyond repair, we’ve literally been rehashing this for the better part of my entire life and nothing has ever changed, and that’s because we haven’t changed the people who make it so and keep Louisiana in it’s condition, the people themselves who keep electing and reelecting these politicians into office.
I might add however that America itself is going down that same path in electing corruption at an alarming rate without pause or concern to the ramifications of those actions until it is of course too late and there’s no place to move to in order to escape that condition we elected for ourselves.

Won’t happen because too many of our “conservatives” are social- conservative populists who love feeding at the public trough.

The simple answer is no. It would take a monumental philosophical and cultural shite in our political system. Not to mention an even larger shift in the cultural issues in the major metros of the state.

Louisiana is a state where its GDP is in the top half of the nation. The local, state and federal governments rob us blind.
