Wife wants me to get a vasectomy

We found out recently about child number two on the way. In Conversation I mentioned that she should get her tubes tied. She did not like that idea and instead wants me to get snipped. Her reason is that it's easier to get a vasectomy reversed if we decide one day to have another child(in my mind two is enough). I can't find anything to back up her theory. Anyone hAve more info on tubes done versus vasectomy? She has this crazy idea that mid 30's we might want another one. Can't see 8 years from now having a new born. However, we decided that one of us will get fixed. I'm fine with getting a vasectomy,I just don't see the point. They can fix her while we are already at the hospital.

Vasectomy is the surest way to prevent a pregnancy. ..well other than abstinence, which i assume isn't an option

Okay if that's true then I am fine getting it done. I just didn't see the point if they had similar reversal rates. I mean she will already be there.

We did talk about the expense for reversal. I told her if we can't afford 10k at the time to get it reversed we shouldn't be having another kid anyways and she agreed. She is fairly reasonable for a women.

Get it done, but freeze some sperm before you do. Much easier than going thru reversal surgery that might not work.

Just get it done and refuse to get it reversed. I got it done over a year ago and it was fine and only cost $80.

Look into an IUD. She can get it while in the hospital after the birth. That's what we did after our second. They're good for ten years. When that's up you can decide the next step.

My wife was convinced me that getting her tubes tied was a way bigger operation than me getting snipped. I talked to a doctor and even with her getting a c-section the doctor afres with her it's a bigger deal and more risk of complications.
