On a trip with some friends (all of us in our late 20's and most married). What to wear in case of rain brought up the subject of the bags and a few of them, in a "let me tell you why I'm awesome" sort of way said they didn't know what they packed because their wife packs for them.

They thought it made them look like ballers because they can get their wife to pack their stuff, I and others think it looks sad that a grown arse man needs someone to play mom and pack their bags for them.

I don't think I would ever ask or expect my wife to pack my bag for me unless we were traveling together and sharing a bag or something and she needed more room.

Pretty pathetic, considering that she's packing matching outfits for y'all.

Being married in your 20s is what makes all of you look bad

I pack my own bags but it wouldn't bother me if she did it. I wouldn't run around calling myself a baller because of it though.

I'd rather pack myself but then again, I do everything myself for the most part.

Whose wife does not pack the bags?

Does she load them in the car? No, I do.

Equality motherfricker. You pack, I load.

You cook dinner, I clean the dishes.

Whats the fricking problem?

I have some baller arse luggage so I enjoy the process of packing.

I let my wife pack for me. I don't feel like doing it.

No way in hell I could allow that to happen. That's like letting someone dress you. frick that noise. Ever since I can even remember I packed my own bag. I'm sure maybe my mom came behind me to make sure I had enough drawz and socks or whatever when we were going on vacation, but frick getting somewhere and not having what you would like to wear to put on.

Maybe I'm just ocd

I'm way too busy overpacking my bag before a trip to ever pack my husband's bag for him.

ETA: He is also a grown man capable of packing the clothes/items he would like to bring on a trip.

Eh I guess this is me too. I'm kinda lazy like that so if she wants to pack for me go ahead. Thank the lawd we don't have matching shite and she's adamant about that. Matching shite should lead to divorce.

Seriously though, nothing about that says baller. Maybe they could call themselves pimps for making their wives do something for them that they should be doing. However, I think douchebag is probably more fitting for that group.

It's certainly nothing to go around and brag about. Some women probably do it bc they're embarrassed how their husbands dress. Which, is probably true about your friends just based on them calling themselves "ballers" over this.

My SO can pack all the live-long fricking day.

I'm not a child, but I don't care, she just does.

I take it as she pays attention to what I normally wear and knows what I'll be comfortable in for the trip. Plus it's a wake up call to her on how nuts she drives herself on what to pack/wear.

She's cut down on 4 bags for a 3-day trip to 2 bags. I've noticed.

If my wife packed for me, I'd be bringing 5 times the amount of clothes that I'd need on the trip.
