My theory. These are alien phenomena spoofed to look like human technology, which gives it a veneer of deniability. The tell is how the feds are slow playing this. A Cessna wanders into the DFW traffic pattern and the FAA goes apeshit. But with this stuff all they can say is "we dunno."

I think they know exactly what it is and that it would be a very bad idea to mess with them. Watch some sheriff announce plans to shoot down or capture one and see how fast the boys in sunglasses are on his doorstep.

2. Based on reports, the ones in New Jersey are coming from offshore. If there's a ship or ship parked out there launching these things, it should be easy to find. If not, see my post immediately above.

Our government's incuriosity about this indicates they know what it is already and they're determined to keep a lid on it as long as they can.

I think there are multiple things going on. As I said earlier, the orbs/spheres are different and a true unknown. But I believe the “drones” are ours and I just saw some comments on twitter that make the most sense. The “drones” have been spotted doing grid pattern searches. What if this isn’t a test but we have surveillance tech that can scan for bombs and weapons of mass destruction that could have slipped across our open border recently?

They aren’t going to announce “we are looking for a terrorist cell that is building a bomb to nuke New York”, but that is a big enough threat to discreetly use new surveillance tech.

Have you actually watched the two videos in question?

This makes the most sense.

Have you seen where I disagreed with anyone on what they actually are?

Look it's an interesting story playing out. Watching the hysteria is amusing and interesting. I feel like half of the people are just making shite up for their own motivations. There is a likely scenario of there being unusual drone activity that is explained. When that is done the same tin foil hats will not accept it.

Point of my interest is this is good "people watching" material.

I’m a bit confused by that because you said “the point of looking like a jet and the other like a helicopter” was “addressed today during the Congressional hearing by the Asst Director of the FBI.” The FBI’s comments don’t really address anything here because the aircraft in question aren’t drones that look like a jet and a helicopter; they are a passenger jet and a helicopter.

I hear you, and you aren’t wrong about any of this. It’s certainly amusing, to a point, watching people repeatedly fall for troll posts on Twitter.

At the same time it’s also a little terrifying. Someone tweets a clear video of a passenger jet landing at night and calls it “genuine UFO UAP” while also saying “I don’t understand how they are making themselves look like planes.” This person is obviously either trolling or brain damaged. But a huge number of people (who, ironically, probably consider themselves “independent thinkers”) eat it up.

If people are falling for this kind of low-effort crap, what the hell is going to happen when AI-generated video becomes more widespread/accessible? It’s going to be a “skeptic’s” wet dream. If we don’t ridicule this behavior now, it’s only going to get worse. Way worse.

If they have flashing lights and red/green solid lights it's 99% nothing to be concerned about.

Note that what that Pentagon spokesperson said was that they are not US military drones. That doesn't mean that they are not US government drones.
