This shite is so stupid. It's just a bunch of baws with drones looking for the exact attention everyone is giving them. Maybe some of them are from Chinese spies flying their own drones (it's probably a combination of civilian pranksters and actual espionage). Either way, it's just drones. Anyone can go buy one on Amazon.
If the government were "looking for a nuke" they wouldn't be doing it this way. There is nothing a drone could do to "detect" a nuclear weapon. A nuke would be next to impossible to find using radiation detectors. You would need various sources of intelligence to find one (human sources, communication intercepts, etc.).

Yeah, I’ve seen the NY Post article, seems pretty misleading given the context but that’s kinda their schtick
